The starting point is one many funds will recognise. Rather than buy, the firm had chosen to build its own tools over the years, one for each need as it came up. As assets and teams grew, so did the case for centralising them. What was missing was a shared deployment base, shared conventions and APIs from one tool to the next.
We replaced those standalone systems with one open platform:
- one source of truth for instruments, positions and prices;
- pre- and post-trade compliance with a detailed audit trail;
- risk metrics that fit the way the team already works;
- centralised fee, distribution and sales-attribution rules, so sales, middle office, finance and management all work from the same numbers.
The platform sits between the firm’s analytical database, its fund administrator and its existing trading system — with external market-data vendors feeding in — and keeps them in sync.
Kotlin · Jakarta EE on WildFly · React frontend · jOOQ · SQL Server. Test-driven development throughout, automated CI/CD pipelines, with integration tests on a real SQL Server instance. The engineering loop itself runs on a bespoke AI setup.
